We are proud to announce the launch of our brand new front-end, based on a more modern and efficient platform. After discontinuing the further development of the web framework we were using, we took this opportunity to make a significant step forward.
Our aim was to create a clearer and more pleasant design. The new layout uses a familiar system font and offers improved colour contrasts as well as an attractive dark mode that is easy on the eyes and the battery and, of course, looks 😎. We have also taken care to retain the tried and tested menu structures so that all users, especially those in the RePricing area, can find their way around quickly and efficiently.
By introducing new web technologies, we have improved the performance of our system and completely eliminated dependence on outdated software. These technological updates increase stability and future-proof our system.
We have optimised the user experience through numerous improvements:
- Wherever you can "Add ", the button is now permanently visible at the top right, making navigation much easier.
- Data input panel: A new panel that slides across the page allows you to enter data without having to leave the current view.
Mass editing:
- Now includes a summary of selected filters and actions before they are performed, making it easier to control.
CSV files
- Templates:** The templates for CSV files are now better structured with a clear segmentation into three categories: "Required Columns", "Editable Columns" and Info Columns". This division ensures clearer and more user-friendly handling.
Dashboard:
- New widgets: The old widgets have not only been given a new coat of paint; there are also new widgets to discover.
Access data:
- Tab-based organisation:** Access data management is now clearer thanks to the division into individual tabs for different functions. This makes it easier to quickly access specific settings such as 2-factor authentication (2FA), password change, social logins, requests for third-party logins and the authentication protocol without having to scroll through long pages.
Item view:
- Price information:** In addition to the online price, the optimised price and B2B prices are now also quickly and clearly visible.
- Item strategies:** Allocation has been simplified with new, clear labels.
- Context menu: Enables quick access to specific tabs directly from the overview.
- Filter and sorting options: Menus are now grouped more clearly.
HelpDesk:
- Kanban view: A significant change from the traditional "Inbox" view. This new visual representation of tickets and their current status provides a clear and dynamic overview that makes it easier to manage requests. In contrast to the static inbox, the Kanban view enables interactive handling of support tickets through drag-and-drop, which promotes more efficient prioritisation and processing of requests.
- Clarity of filters and sorting options:** Here too, the options are more clearly organised.
- Direct access to metadata:** All relevant metadata such as case status, label, responsible employee and language can now be viewed and changed directly next to the case on the right.
The adjustments not only optimise the experience on desktop computers, but also on mobile devices, which helps us to simplify app maintenance and increase the speed of further development.
The switch to Vue 3, driven by the end of development of our old frontend framework, allowed us to replace not only the framework but also other outdated technologies. This upgrade keeps us technologically up to date and increases the efficiency of our application.
