MCP (Model Context Protocol) 🤖 Control pricing and support directly via AI chat

MCP now available at eSagu: AI controls RePricing, HelpFesk & more directly via ChatGPT & co.

Just in time for the Christmas season 🎄, we’re introducing something completely new: MCP – the Model Context Protocol ✨. While the lights are glowing and the year is coming to an end, we’re celebrating a real technological step forward. MCP enables AI systems not only to respond, but to directly work with real functions and data.

MCP is an open protocol that standardizes how language models connect to tools and systems – securely, controllably, and transparently. Instead of plain text, real actions are performed in the connected system. More background on MCP

MCP in eSagu: What’s possible?

With MCP, AI can directly access eSagu functions and perform real changes, for example:

  • 🔍 Search for and list items
  • 💶 Query or change minimum, maximum, and fixed prices
  • ⚙️ Switch repricing from fixed price to optimization
  • 📈 Adjust price limits or change strategies
  • 🎧 Manage help desk tickets
  • 📦 List and manage lost & found cases

All directly in a single chat, without switching backends or copy & paste.

The complete setup for ChatGPT, Mistral, Claude, and Open WebUI is described here.

Practical and direct

In the chat, items can be found, prices checked, and repricing settings changed. The AI understands the context, uses the appropriate MCP tools, and applies changes immediately in eSagu. Fast, transparent, and reproducible 🚀.

Additional practical examples for MCP in eSagu

  • ChatGPT gains access to eSagu and a weather service via MCP and adjusts margins for pool products in summer based on the weather forecast for the coming week.
  • A weekly chat report summarizes all HelpDesk support cases and immediately highlights where action is currently most needed — without having to read through dozens of email threads.
  • Thought experiment: Technically, open Lost & Found cases could be retrieved from eSagu, submitted via a browser MCP to Seller Central, and then marked as “submitted.” Not permitted, as Amazon does not allow automated submission of FBA cases 😉
  • HelpDesk support cases can be answered on the go via voice input using the ChatGPT app and saved directly in the eSagu HelpDesk.
  • Using an additional MCP tool, the AI finds similar products, extracts relevant ASINs, and uses them directly as references for private label repricing in eSagu.

Conclusion

MCP already offers a clear glimpse into the future. AI is evolving from a pure response generator into an active interface for eSagu. We’re continuously expanding the MCP integration and adding more tools step by step.

🎁 Important to know: MCP is currently still in beta at eSagu — just like on major AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Mistral, and Claude, as well as tools like Open WebUI. MCP is a very young technology that has only been available for a short time and is currently evolving rapidly.
