Lost & Found Update: FBA Inbound Audit with Status, Filter & Direct Ticket Preparation

FBA Inbound Audit in Lost & Found: Manage and filter difference cases with status and submit them in a structured fashion via direct link in Seller Central.

Our Lost & Found continues to cover classic FBA discrepancy cases, including status management, filters, and convenient ticket preparation. Now, FBA Inbound Audit also has the same structured workflow.

This feature is part of our free Lost & Found tool and is constantly being expanded.

What are discrepancy cases?

In the FBA inbound process, discrepancy cases arise when the quantity shipped does not match the quantity booked by Amazon.

Examples:

  • 10 units shipped → 8 booked
  • Partial incorrect allocation for a shipment
  • Quantity discrepancies between “shipped” and “stored”

With 500 shipments per year, even small discrepancies can result in four-figure losses.

Such discrepancies quickly add up, especially with larger volumes. This is exactly where Lost & Found comes in: The analysis is based on inbound reports and FBA inventory data and systematically compares target quantities with actual quantities.

What does the FBA Inbound Audit do?

The FBA Inbound Audit is a feature within Lost & Found that specializes in discrepancies in goods receipt:

  • Shipped quantity vs. booked quantity
  • Differences within shipments
  • Potentially refundable cases

Previously, it was an evaluation, and now it is a workspace with clear status logic and a submission workflow.

🏷 Clear status logic for difference cases

The FBA Inbound Audit now offers the same clearly defined statuses as the classic FBA difference cases:

  • Submittable
  • Request submitted
  • Not submittable

This clearly documents:

  • Which cases can currently be claimed with Amazon?
  • Which ones have already been submitted?
  • Which ones do not meet the criteria?

🔎 Filter by status

In addition, there is a status filter that can be used to filter difference cases specifically:

  • Only Submittable → prepare for submission immediately
  • Only Application submitted → overview of ongoing processes
  • Not submittable → review/evaluate special cases

📋 Mark, copy IDs & submit directly in Seller Central

The proven workflow from “normal” lost & found cases now also works in the FBA Inbound Audit:

  • Mark multiple discrepancy cases
  • Copy case IDs as a list or text with one click
  • Switch directly to the appropriate ticket page in Seller Central via a direct link

Result: no manual reference collection, no copy-paste chaos, no forgotten cases.

Uniform workflow across all types of discrepancies

The classic FBA discrepancy cases already had this structure. Now the same clean process also applies to the FBA Inbound Audit:

Most retailers are throwing money away here because there is no clean workflow. With several hundred or thousand units per month, this quickly adds up to significant refund amounts.

This turns the FBA Inbound Audit into a structured workspace instead of a pure data evaluation.

Free to use for FBA merchants

The FBA Inbound Audit is part of our Lost & Found Tool and is available to all FBA merchants free of charge.
